Charlotte Summer Picnicking
If fall is about pumpkin patches and apple cider, then summer has to be about picnics and lemonade! So to kick off the season we teamed up with our local Anthropologie and Earth Fare to put together a spread to help inspire you to pack your own cooler and enjoy Charlotte's natural beauty with the ones you love.
For some great Uptown views, Romare Bearden Park or Fourth Ward Park is your spot, but for something a little more out in nature, look no further then the one and only Freedom Park. With its vast size (98 acres in total), there isn’t a shortage for shade. Across from the amphitheater is a tiered lawn perfect for picnicking that provides a beautiful view of the lake while in the late afternoon light is completely shaded.
When it comes to what to pack the cooler with, chicken salad and croissants make for great no fuss option. Going for something a bit more sharable? Try a variety of cheese and cracker pairings along with a couple types of fruit so everyone can find something they like.
Special thanks to Anthropologie for providing the beautful styled pieces and Earth Fare for the fabulous selection of picnic fare! We love their commitment and mission of providing clean foods. Be sure to check them out online to learn more about their philosophy and the grand opening of their new store in Concord on the 28th of June.
